Update

It has been a long time since I have posted anything so here is what we have been up to…

I started my new job just over 1 month ago and am loving it! I really could not have made a better decision…I am less stressed and work with a great group of people not to mention my office is only 3 minutes from the house.

Leevi took his engineers test for the Fire Dept. and placed 10th out of 23 guys. I am very proud of how well he did and look forward to seeing where this will take us. He is going to be going to a class in a week and will be gone for 5 days. I am not looking forward to being by myself but I am sure I will make it through. He will be taking another class in Pennsylvania in July and will be gone for over a week.

In Feb. Adam and I went to my sister’s house to visit everyone…

It was great to see everyone…I wish we lived closer. On the way to Cali Adam started clapping and while we were in Cali he was starting to crawl. About 1 week after we got back he was crawling all over the place and pulling himself up on anything and everything. His newest thing is to shake his head “no”…I really do not think he understands but he thinks its pretty funny.

A couple of weeks ago he got his first really illness requiring medication…a double ear infection. He never acted like he had an ear infection so I was surprised but we got through that and now he has a cold…it never seems to end.

Its hard to believe that 9 months have passed by and that he is starting to do all sorts of new things…everyday is a new adventure with him and I love it :)

Project

So with Adam being more mobile we decided it was necessary to change our 70s metal railing to wood. I love the way it turned out..I was nervous at first but it looks great. The guy doing the work has a little finishing touches to do next weekend but other than that it is done.

Happenings

Yesterday we took the drive to Denver to buy my  new car since our dealer in Cheyenne wouldn’t give us a better deal. It is a 2008 Honda CRV with all the bells and whistles…

In other news I got a new job!!! I will be working at the Wyoming State Retirement Department. I will be working with the 457b plan which is the voluntary retirement plan. I am really excited to be moving on and am looking forward to a little less stress!

I start my final week of classes Tuesday and will be done on the 2nd! I am so excited that I will finally be done with college after everything that I have accomplished while being in school, I have a lot to be proud of!

It’s snowing like crazy here today so the pictures had to be taken in the garage…

Stock Show & A Visit From Kelsey

Last weekend Kelsey came to visit us…it was great to see her. The one thing I hate about living in Wyoming is that family and friends and Cali don’t get to watch Adam grow up in person.

We had a great time just hanging out and catching up. We went down to Ft. Collins on Sat. and did a little shopping and then went to The Rustic Oven which is a new restaurant. Then headed over to Eaton to stay the night since we had an early morning. We went down to the Stock Show with Leevi’s family and had a good time although I can’t say we will be going next year. Anyway here are a few pictures…

Army Crawl

Adam has been doing the army crawl since Christmas (6 1/2 months). I can’t believe how quickly he is developing…the doctor said that he is doing more than most babies at his age which is wonderful to hear. When we went to the doctor a couple of weeks ago he was 17 lbs 2.5 oz and 27.5 inches long. He is sleeping much better these days and even sleeping through the night more than he has been. He loves his fruit when it comes to baby food and he is starting to enjoy crackers :)
